Man Accused In Killing Of Tupac Shakur Asks Judge For House Arrest Instead Of Jail Before Trial

In anticipation of his trial for the 1996 murder of music icon Tupac Shakur, a sick and elderly former gang boss from Los Angeles is scheduled to petition a Nevada judge on Tuesday (July 23) to reverse her decision and free him from prison to home detention.

Carl Arnold, the attorney for Duane “Keffe D” Davis, stated in court documents that he had provided further bank records to prove the money was earned lawfully after Davis’ request for release was turned down in June.

Arnold also contended that it makes no difference if Davis and hip-hop artist Cash “Wack 100″ Jones, who claims to be funding Davis’ $750,000 bond, want to make money off of selling Davis’ autobiography because Davis has not been found guilty of any crime.

Also, The Sun was able to get legal paperwork that mentioned Diddy 77 times, using aliases like Puffy, Puff Daddy, and his own name, Sean Combs. According to Duane “Keefe D” Davis, Diddy made an offer of $1 million for Tupac’s murder.

Tupac was fatally shot in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. Although the discredited music mogul has previously denied involvement, prosecutors are anxious to close the case and pursue justice for Tupac.

Should Keffe D be released on house arrest? Should Puffy be questioned in the murder of Tupac?
