Record executive and music producer Irving “Irv Gotti” Lorenzo passed away at age 54, with the cause of death yet to be confirmed. Gotti, known for producing records for artists like Jay-Z, DMX, and Ashanti, founded the record label Murder Inc. and was an executive at Def Jam Recordings. He played a significant role in shaping the careers of R&B and hip-hop artists in the ‘90s and 2000s, with notable producer credits on various hit songs. Gotti’s health struggles, including diabetes, were known, and his contributions to the music industry were widely recognized following his passing.
