Tyka Nelson, the younger sister of Prince, died at the age of 64 due to cardiac arrest and congestive heart failure, according to autopsy results released by the Minnesota Dept. of Health. She had been suffering from non-ischemic cardiomyopathy and substance abuse contributed to her weakened heart. Tyka, who shared six children with her husband Maurice Phillips, had released four albums during her music career and was working on a memoir at the time of her death. She expressed gratitude for the people she had met in her life and her late brother’s legacy.
