SZA Teases Plans for ‘Peaceful Children’s Music’ to Fulfill Record Contract

SZA has hinted at plans for her next musical projects, suggesting that they may be a way to fulfill her recording contract obligations. In a tweet, she mentioned that her next two albums might be her last, expressing a desire to make peaceful children’s music before becoming a farmer and donating produce to underserved communities. This strategy of recording albums to meet contractual requirements is not uncommon in the music industry, with examples like Van Morrison and Marvin Gaye navigating similar situations in the past. SZA’s latest album, “SOS,” recently topped the Billboard 200 chart for the 12th week, with a deluxe edition titled “Lana” released in December. She has also teased new mixes and songs for the deluxe edition once her label returns from the holiday break.
