Gordie’s Midday Gossip - Hillsborough County MARC open

New Multi-Agency Resource Center Open in Tampa

Hillsborough County officials have opened the first Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) in Tampa. This center will serve as a critical support hub for residents impacted by Hurricanes Milton, Helene, and Debby. Staffed with federal, state, and regional personnel, the center will offer a wide range of services to assist individuals and businesses in their recovery efforts.

Collaboration with Emergency Management Agencies

The MARC is a collaborative effort between Hillsborough County and the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM). The center will bring together experts from different agencies to provide tailored assistance to those affected by the hurricanes. Whether it’s individuals, families, or local businesses, everyone is welcome to access the services being offered.

Location and Operating Hours

The Multi-Agency Resource Center will be located at the Town N Country Regional Public Library, situated at 7606 Paula Dr #120 in Tampa. The center will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will continue through Friday, Oct. 18. Residents are encouraged to visit during these times to get help with their hurricane recovery needs.

Who Can Benefit from the Resource Center?

The MARC is designed to support individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits affected by the storms. Whether you’re seeking disaster relief, financial assistance, or recovery advice, the center will have resources to guide you through the process of getting back on your feet.

Additional Online Resources for Recovery

In addition to the MARC, Hillsborough County has set up a webpage to provide comprehensive information on local, state, and national resources available for storm recovery. Residents can visit HCFL.gov/StormRecovery to access these resources and get up-to-date information on how to manage their recovery journey after the hurricanes.
