The birthplace of Black football traced back to local HBCU’s

The Atlanta Falcons have launched a fellowship program for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to create a job pipeline for students at Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University. Amari Currie, a Clark Atlanta University student, applied for the program to get closer to the sports industry and interact with fans. The program aims to provide opportunities for HBCU students in the sports and entertainment industry, offering hands-on experience in various departments. The initiative, now in its second year, has seen increased participation and enthusiasm, with over 400 applicants. The program is paid and offers behind-the-scenes access to different aspects of the business, providing valuable mentorship and career growth opportunities for HBCU students.
