Usher is joining the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyonce and releasing a concert film. It was announced Tuesday that his 2023 eight concert experience in Paris will be released as a movie. “Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans,” Usher said in a statement. “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. As for those of you who were, I hope you experience the show and see what it takes to get there through a different lens.”Directed by Anthony Mandler, the captured performance highlighted some of Usher’s biggest hits, including “Yeah!”, “My Boo”, “Love in This Club” and more. The Paris residency took place during Paris Fashion Week, bringing in a star-studded audience that included Cher, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, Pharrell Williams, and more. Usher: Rendevous in Paris will open in 2,000 theaters from September 12 through 15.
