SNL star Keenan Thompson has been making the rounds talking about his recent diagnosis of Gastroesophageal reflux disease — commonly known as GERD. This disease occurs when stomach acid repeatedly flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus). He was diagnosed in 2024.
He was prescribed Voquezna, a potassium competitive acid blocker and the first and only FDA-approved treatment of its kind, and it brought him the relief that he needed.
